The US trademark application process tends to be much more strict than trademark application processes of other countries. Due to the complexity of the US trademark application process, the USPTO encourages Applicants applying for US trademarks to hire a US trademark attorney. The USPTO further requires that foreign Applicants must use a US trademark attorney for their trademark filings.
