• Ease of application process
• After successful registration and payment of due fees, you have exclusive rights to use, sell, or lease your design(s) in Australia.
• After six months, you can apply for the same design overseas.
• After registration comes certification. The completion of the 2-step process allows you to enforce a legal right over your design and take action against entities who are using your design without permission.
The design right lasts five years and can be renewed for another five years, only once.
